Our Story

Cledor is a leading provider of on-site staff for residential and commercial properties.

Concierge, security, porterage, cleaning, caretaking and gardening staff are diligently sourced and flexibly delivered. Our clients are block management companies, commercial managing agents and landlords/freeholders.

 

Cledor is derived from the French clef d’or (gold key), named after the worldwide association of hotel concierges Les Clef d’Or. We do our outmost to achieve the same standards as this elite of concierges.

Cledor was conceived in 2005 to set a new benchmark for on-site staffing in the residential property management sector.

Concierges, porters, estate managers, security personnel – our clients need their staff to take pride in their work, to assume increasing responsibility and focus on the happiness and safety of the residents. That’s why we recruit from a wide spectrum of sources, especially from high-end hotels, to deliver a different standard of personnel. Genuinely helpful staff are delightful to have around and that extra doesn’t have to cost our clients any extra.

In the mid to late 2000s, we helped to create a change in mindset within residential blocks of flats.

The mindset change means residents interacting with the on-site staff, as they would in a hotel. Concierges in hotels are only too happy to make simple bookings and our concierge and porters began to help in a similar way. Training is regular and meticulous. In 2013, we set up the first on-site staff training academy of its kind and our wide-ranging programmes equips our personnel like no other

 

Cledor takes the health and safety of residents, commercial tenants, its own staff and any visitors extremely seriously.

At Cledor, we use energy efficient, environmentally friendly products, methods and systems of work wherever possible. We recognise our responsibilities to the planet today and for the future. Our Personnel Department closely follows the guidelines laid out in the “Code of Practice for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination” from the commission of Racial Equality. Our Cledor Academy Training includes modules on RAMS, PPE, working at height, manual handling, storage/use of fuel, asbestos awareness, COSHH and more. We have implemented a robust ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System (QMS) which has helped us to craft processes and services to best serve our customers.
