With its sheer size, diverse building ages and high resident footfall, maintaining WEST 3’s standards requires precision, coordination, and constant visibility – qualities that have made Cledor the development’s trusted long-term cleaning partner.

Our role

Cledor provides full common-parts cleaning across the development, alongside yardsman duties to maintain external areas.

Our cleaners are on duty daily, delivering a comprehensive cleaning programme that includes:

  • Vacuuming and spot-cleaning carpets
  • Polishing and dusting hard surfaces and balustrades
  • Cleaning lifts, glass panels and skirting boards
  • Sanitising high-touch points such as handrails, door handles and lift buttons
  • Monitoring and replenishing consumables in common-area restrooms

In addition, our yardsman keeps the exterior grounds immaculate – litter-picking, cleaning and rotating bin rooms, and positioning refuse bins for collection.

Beyond Cleaning – Total Caretaking

At WEST 3, cleaning isn’t where our work ends; it’s where proactive caretaking begins.

Our team reports:

  • Defects such as fire doors failing to self-close
  • Obstructions in corridors and exits that could impede evacuation
  • Lighting and plant issues in communal areas

These reports flow back to PBM’s property management team through Cledor’s duty manager, ensuring issues are logged, prioritised and actioned quickly.

Our staff also play a supporting role in Building Safety Act 2022 compliance, providing vital “eyes and ears” feedback on the condition of communal spaces, fire doors, and evacuation routes – helping the client maintain the “golden thread” of safety information.

Professionalism and Presentation

Even in the dirtiest jobs, presentation matters.

All Cledor staff are smartly uniformed and radio-equipped for instant communication across this sprawling site. Radios allow cleaners and the yardsman to share updates in real time, whether reporting a blocked fire door, a spill in a lobby, or an overflowing bin room.

Each operative reports into a Cledor duty manager, who coordinates scheduling, quality checks and client communication. Supervisors perform periodic walk-arounds to ensure our cleaning specifications and SOPs are followed to the letter.

Residents often comment that our operatives not only work hard, but lift the tone of the development, greeting residents courteously and maintaining pride in their work.

Training and safety

All operatives receive induction through the Cledor Training Academy, covering:

  • Safe use of equipment and COSHH awareness
  • Environmental and waste-management practices
  • Customer-service and resident interaction
  • Building Safety Act awareness and emergency procedures

They also undergo regular PAT testing of vacuums, manual-handling refresher training, and site-specific toolbox talks.
